Are facial coverings required?

YES. Facial coverings are required of everyone on the Boise State Campus. If you do not have a facial covering, please see one of the ExtraMile Arena staff upon arriving at the venue. Boise State Facilities have disposable coverings for students to use in the event you do not have your own.

Which classes are being held at EMA?

Where do I enter for my class at EMA?

There is one defined classroom at ExtraMile Arena.


Classroom 2, students will Enter at Entrance 2 (adjacent to Stadium Parking Lot) & Exit after class through Entrance 3 (staff will guide you)

Where do I sit?

Assigned seating is required to ensure proper distancing and for ExtraMile Arena to keep students and staff safe.


Students who are registered for a class or classes at ExtraMile Arena have been assigned a seat in advance. Students will need to follow these steps to create an account / login to be able to view their seat(s) in advance of the first day of class.

How are instruction materials going to be displayed?

Instructors will be presenting course materials from a podium with the use of large digital screens on either side. Audio for classroom instruction will be accessed via the WiFi system in the arena, and instructions on how to access audio can be found here.

What if I cannot attend class due to illness or exposure to others?

From Boise State University's Coronavirus Response | Return To Campus page:

"..we have to pay close attention to our own symptoms. Absences will be expected and excused. We will be flexible with you as you get caught up."

How will I know if/when there has been a change to a scheduled class?

In the event of a change, that information will be communicated to your student email address ([email protected]). ExtraMile Arena will also publish any changes to the Classroom Schedule website page.

What should I bring to class?

Please bring your facial coverings, necessary course materials, your Bronco ID Card, your charged cell phone and earbuds or headphones that work with your phone. Classroom audio will be administered via an app over the WiFi system, and as such headphones/earbuds will be necessary to hear the instruction material.

What can I NOT bring to class?

The consumption of food and drink are not permitted during class time. This is in an effort to ensure that facial coverings are being used at all times. While you can bring it into the building and with you to your class, any food and drink will need to remain in your backpack.

Is parking available on-site?

There is hourly paid parking available in front of Albertsons Stadium and to the left of Entrance 2. Students and guests can also park in a spot in the Stadium Parking lot and pay per hour via the parking kiosks. The lot will be available for those with an East Reserve Permit.

Where is ExtraMile Arena getting up-to-date information regarding the status of COVID-19?

We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as local and state public health authorities.

What measures are being taken by ExtraMile Arena to prevent the spread of disease?

We are equipped with hand sanitizing stations, sanitizing wipes and CDC educational signage. Additionally, custodians are regularly disinfecting high traffic areas and frequently touched surfaces. Please review the Our Response to COVID-19 page.

What preventative measures can I take to discourage the spread of germs?

While ExtraMile Arena is not the authority on the spread of disease, the following actions are recommended by the CDC:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Stay home when you are sick.
